Feeling Anxious?

We understand that having a scan can be daunting for some patients, especially if you have never had one before. Our team are happy to invite you along to visit to our imaging department before your appointment to familiarise yourself with the surroundings, equipment and staff you will see on the day.

To arrange this please call us now on 0131 477 7400.

Paying For Your ScanPaying for a scan

We accept both medically insured patients and, patients who are self-funding.

Medically insured patients:

If you have medical insurance, you will need to contact your insurance company before your appointment, to ensure that your cover includes diagnostic imaging/radiology services.

If you are covered, please bring your insurance membership number and treatment authorisation number with you on the day of your scan. We will do the rest.

If your policy includes an excess, you should pay this on the day.

If your insurance cover doesn’t include diagnostic imaging/radiology services, you will need to pay for your scan on the day (See Self-funding Patients below).

Payment for all services is your responsibility. For this reason it is important that you are clear about what your insurer will/will not pay for.

Self-funding Patients:

If you are paying for our services yourself, you should pay on the day of your scan. The cost will include any scanning or imaging performed and the specialist report we will prepare.

We accept cash and credit/debit card payments.

If you have any further questions, please Contact Us.
